Randy Cochran

Instructor at Deforest

As a teacher, I must discover how each student learns. I want to help every golfer in crafting a personalized path toward becoming the best player they can be. I will quickly assess a student’s natural strengths and build their swing around those strengths. Some students possess all five sources for developing speed and power, while others may have just one or two. They all have the potential to become gifted players for different reasons.

I have worked with students ranging from 3 years old to over 100, spanning those in perfect health to those recovering from life’s challenges. I enjoy instructing beginner golfers just as much as I do teaching accomplished amateurs or professionals.

Teaching golf is as gratifying as it is demanding, but it’s the best way to spread the joy of this golf!

With a decade of diverse experience, I have honed my skills at small mom-and-pop establishments and exclusive private facilities. From beginners grasping their first club to mini-tour professionals, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching golfers of all levels.

My ultimate goal? Fun! We play this beautiful game to enjoy ourselves, and that’s always my number one priority. But it doesn’t stop there. I strive to empower every student to make their own improvements, fostering independence and a sense of accomplishment.

Embracing both technology and old-school techniques, I’ll guide you through the “why” and “how” of golf, unraveling the mysteries of this captivating sport. No matter the situation, I’ll always find the silver lining, helping you see the positive side of every challenge you encounter.

As a graduate of the Golf Academy of America, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table. From beginners taking their first swing to collaborating with aspiring juniors and mini-tour players seeking that extra edge, I’ve worked with a diverse range of golfers.
